The Institute of International Studies (IIS) at UC Berkeley is seeking to award a series of merit scholarships of up to $2000 each to support undergraduate research in any area on international studies. Research may be conducted while in EAP, or independently. The scholarship recipients will be called IIS Junior Scholars. All IIS Junior Scholars will present their findings in the form of a research paper at a conference held at IIS at the end of their scholarship year.

Class Level: Junior, Senior
Area of Study: Arts and Humanities, Business, Engineering, Natural Sciences, Public Service, Social and Behavioral Sciences
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, International Students, Undocumented Students
Minimum GPA: 3.5
Other Requirements:
Must have completed at east one semester in residence at U.C. Berkeley

Project Proposal Notes: Applicants must submit a one page research proposal that addresses: -the research question, -why it is important to the field of research; -a preliminary research plan
