Award Amount: $5,400-$8,100 undergraduate stipend, $10,800 graduate stipend
The office Naval Research is offering the Naval Research Enterprise Intern Program (ONR) at Department of Navy Laboratories. The program provides a paid 10 week summer research opporutnity at the Naval Research Laboratory, Naval Systems Command Laboratory, or Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory. Opportunities are available for students in many discipline areas.

Eligibility Requirements

Class Level: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Graduate Student
Area of Study: Arts and Humanities, Business, Engineering, Natural Sciences, Public Service, Social and Behavioral Sciences

Restricted: Most labs only accept U.S. Citizens. Those who are Dual Citizens or Permanent Residents, consult the Labs page of the website to see what labs will consider your application.

Other Requirements:
Any student who has graduated high school (or equivalent) and currently has 31 or more college credits and is enrolled at a 4 year U.S. college or university deemed accredited by the U.S. Department of Education will be eligible to participate in the NREIP program. Students attending 2 year U.S. college or university deemed accredited by the U.S. Department of Education, who meet the major and credit requirements, may be eligible at the laboratory's discretion. Please contact the laboratories directly to find out if you meet their requirements as they may vary. Graduate school insitutions must be an US accredited institution (ABET).
