Awarded by the Winston Churchill Foundation of the United States, the Churchill Scholarship supports a year of master’s study at Churchill College, Cambridge, for students pursuing advanced work in science, mathematics, and engineering. A double major in Molecular and Cell Biology and Business Administration (Haas), Nguyen is passionate about advancing next-generation therapeutics. Berkeley Social Sciences Alumna Sydney Roberts Awarded 2026–27 Schwarzman Scholarship

We are very pleased to announce that seven UC Berkeley students have been awarded the U.S. Government’s Critical Language Scholarship (CLS), a fully-funded 8–10-week overseas language and cultural immersion program for American undergraduate and graduate students at every level of language learning. Rising senior Danielle Tran, an English major minoring in Creative Writing and Education, has been selected as one of the outstanding undergraduates in the 2024 cohort of Beinecke Scholars. This prestigious scholarship provides $35,000 ($5,000 prior to graduate study and $15,000 per year) for two years of graduate study in the arts, humanities, or social sciences. Junior Tiffany Mar Selected as Udall Scholar for Environmental Work

Tiffany Mar (’25, Society & Environment) has been awarded the Udall Undergraduate Scholarship, which provides $7,000 for educational expenses to 55 outstanding sophomores and juniors who either study the environment and related fields or are Native Americans or Alaska Natives in fields related to health care or tribal public policy.
