Alex will graduate in May 2017 as double major in Molecular and Cell Biology & Public Health.Outside of classes, he has been involved in research (clinical, public health, and wet-lab), IM and club sports, writing and editing for a biomedical publication called Morning Sign Out, and leading a professional pre-medical fraternity on campus called Phi Delta Epsilon.At Cambridge, he will be completing an Alex will graduate in May 2017 as double major in Molecular and Cell Biology & Public Health.Outside of classes, he has been involved in research (clinical, public health, and wet-lab), IM and club sports, writing and editing for a biomedical publication called Morning Sign Out, and leading a professional pre-medical fraternity on campus called Phi Delta Epsilon.At Cambridge, he will be completing an M.Phil. in Medical Science in the De La Roche Group, a cancer immunology research group. Alex will study the Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway, which is abnormally activated in a number of cancers and has been shown to play a key role in immune responses to cancer. In the future, he hopes to enroll in an M.D./Ph.D. program to continue to conduct basic research to inform patient-centered therapies and also investigate how therapies can be better distributed to improve patient outcomes around the world. Aside from science,Alex’s interests include music, travel, golf, running, and writing.
